Agency for School Improvement – a Nordic research collaboration

The research group SKUL (School Development and Leadership) at the University of Gothenburg has initiated the Nordic research collaboration Agency for School Improvement.

The collaboration means that researchers from Swedish, Norwegian, and Finnish universities learn together about the concept of agency, and the significance it can have in research that focuses in particular on school and teaching development. The research collaboration is about jointly highlighting what agency can mean, what hinders or promotes it, and with which starting points agency can be researched.

The Nordic collaboration brings together researchers from different research environments and traditions. They meet and learn from colleagues who highlight agency in slightly different ways. The Stockholm University Research Network for School Development contributes with researchers from subject didactics, education, and business administration.
